One Bowl Golden Yellow Cake
Ingredients
Golden Yellow Cake
- 2 cups ultragrain flour
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cups butter (softened)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs (large)
Orange Filling
- 1/2 cups salted butter
- 1 dash salt
- 1/2 tablespoons almond extract
- 2/3lb powdered sugar (about 2 1/3 cups)
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 1/2 cups orange marmalade (or jam of your choice)

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans. In a mixing bowl sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter, milk, and vanilla. Beat for 3-4 minutes. Add eggs, beat for 3 additional minutes. Pour batter equally into pans. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. | |

Whip together all ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth. | |
