Birthday Cake Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons salted butter (softened, about 2/3c)
- 2/3 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
- 1 egg (large)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 teaspoons kosher salt (or coarse sea salt)
- 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups ultragrain flour
- 1/4 cups cake flour
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cups spinkles
Directions
Cream together butter and sugars, then add the egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated. Gently mix in chocolate chips and sprinkles, allowing the sprinkles to stay near the surface. Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto a cookie sheet lined with a silpat or parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes. Allow to set slightly before moving to a cooling rack. Yields 24-30 cookies | |
